The gardener brought her to me this morning; he’d caught her trying to break in through the back door. She was hungry and disorientated so I took her in, reluctantly, and fed her while pondering the best course of action.
She really is most beguiling with her long, silky hair, enormous grey eyes and a voice that simply purrs. She’s asleep now – on my bed, if you please!
I’d like to help her but we’ve barely room to swing a cat as it is and, what’s more, she’s undeniably heavily pregnant. I’ve decided to give her shelter overnight but in the morning it’s off to the Detention Centre where she’ll be someone else’s problem.
UPDATE Tues 24th: After a quiet night, for me at least, I woke this morning to find our refugee from the storm had been busy. Will post photos later for those who like that kind of thing but in the meantime they (all seven of them) are moving to bigger accommodation in the spare bedroom.
