"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Silly Week: Why Boys Need Parents #4

And I thought it was the cat.

  1. Ha! Love the way the one's got his shorts round his ankles! I tend to do that when I've got shorts on - only in the privacy of my own bathroom - not in the back garden you understand.... ;-)

  2. Keep meaning to tell you GV that I'm lovin' all these 'boy/parent' posts of yours. Funny as fuck!

Maybe its 'cos it reminds me of someone ;-)

    More please.

  3. What bliss it is to be able to pee where you like and not worry about who you might be offending.

  4. Yes Gigits, I never did understand the need for boys to strip themselves of all their clothing just to go to the loo to do a pee. I don't think he does it now that he's 25 but I haven't checked lately.

GoT(t) - there'll be a few more until the end of MiaS's Silly Week - after that it's pot luck, as before.

Edgar - I can think of a few bushes on the road from Kuwait to England when necessity overcame modesty but when I was young I was too busy climbing trees and running free to even think of having a pee. It's such a shame our children will never know that freedom.

  5. Well, at the moment, it certainly looks like that freedom has gone and will never return. But there is a growing feeling, I think, that the tide has to turn. A new age of innocence? Not quite, but a new age of tolerance is, perhaps, still on the cards.
