"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Sunday Round-Up

Pretty much the usual political cockwaffle again this week which gives an overview of what we have to put up with:

BROWN'S AN IDIOT: Local homes for local people - another Brown gaffe A key element...to win the next general election is probably illegal
AND SO IS BERCOW: Not the kind of stupid 'reform' we had in mind
WARNINGS GALORE: Brown warns G8, Bundred warns public sector and Johnson warns Police Chiefs
SQUEEZE THE MANDARINS: Will they be looking at their own staffing & pay levels?
POLITICAL INCOMPETENCE: A private company being paid by the govt to find jobs for the unemployed offered £100 cash gifts to sign up people who had already found work
POLITICAL POISON: The menage a trois from hell: Brown, Mandelson, Woodward handbags at dawn with a side dish of Liar Liar Balls on fire.
Are we supposed to believe this? Brown didn't know about Johnson's plans for ID cards
THE BBC: The Byford & Yentob Magic Pension Pot
BBC begin prosecution of refuseniks
Put it on Council Tax or electricity bills
THE NHS: The mockery
The cruelty
The shame
MEANWHILE: Ministers draw up plans to slim us down & increase fitness levels with £180m earmarked for sports including ultimate frisbee, tossing the caber, Greco-Roman wrestling, baton-twirling, body-boarding but not water-boarding
