"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Fascist and Anti-fascists: Fascist obstructing a pavement:

Fascist obstructing a doorway:
80 coach-loads of anti-fascists expected at Red, White & Blue Festival: who are the real fascists?

With thanks to Flying WarPigs for the revamped poster

  1. Sad times. But it is the tip of an iceberg.

  2. "Culture Wars" are very appropriate keywords for this post.

What happened on Saturday does not show that the discontent is widening. It has been very widespread for a long time. What it shows, along with the Blears car incident, that a wider spectrum of people no longer believe that anything other than direct action will have any effect.

The intransigence of the Government, the misguided belief of the Police that they can keep a lid on it, the, frankly, appalling arrogance of large sections of the Islamic 'community', all of these things are driving ordinary people towards extraordinary actions.

  3. Yes, what we are allowed to see by the msm/bbc etc is only the tip of the iceberg - after all, if word was allowed to spread that discontent is rife, there'd be more people out protesting. The threatened backlash against the BNP by the authorities is one thing worrying me. There's something in the Lisbon Treaty about banning smaller 'extremist' parties and I'm looking at the moment - will post if I find it.
