"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Oh! FFS!

The Citizens' Advice Bureau has banned the word 'blacklisted' in its offices - in other words it's blacklisted blacklisted.

Why don't we just let them burn the Oxford English Dictionary and have done with it?
blacklisted, blackguard, black sheep, black ice, in the black, blackberry, blackbird, blackout, black & blue, black pepper, black pudding, Black Rod, black-eyed Susan, black economy, Black Forest Gateau, the Black Country, the Black Friars, black eye, black hole, blackjack, black market, black spot, black tie, Black Velvet, Black Widow... ...
Here, take the lot you language-stealing cretinous bastards and see what happens:

  2. As you say, DR, muppets. There's plenty of whitewash to spare JPT - maybe they'd like the White Rose, Whitehall and the White Ensign too ;)

  3. Red is pretty dangerous, as well. Now I suppose we shall also need to change snooker balls to something else. How about "dark" ball?

  11. Black pudding is off the menu. We'll have to call it blood pudding. That will sell.

Black sheep of the family will be re-labelled as misunderstood sheep of the family.

And blackbird's will now be known as sootbirds. Sometime soon, it's in the post.

  12. Hi VotR, how could we forget black pudding and black sheep? I don't think your sootbird will be allowed though - too close to 'Sooty'.
