"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

When Nothing Makes Sense

Have you ever walked down your High Street and looked around wondering, "Where the hell did we go wrong?" Have you ever switched on the tv and wondered the same thing? Nothing seems to fit anymore, does it? Try this for size:
  • "Corrupt the young, get them away from religion. Get them interested in sex. Make them superficial, destroy their ruggedness.
  • Get control of all means of publicity and thereby get the peoples' mind off their government by focusing their attention on athletics, sexy books and plays, and other trivialities.
  • Divide the people into hostile groups by constantly harping on controversial matters of no importance.
  • Destroy the people's faith in their natural leaders by holding up the latter to ridicule, contempt and obloquy.
  • Always preach true democracy but seize power as fast and as ruthlessly as possible. Encourage government extravagance, destroy its credit, produce fear with rising prices, inflation and general discontent.
  • Foment unnecessary strikes in vital industries, encourage civil disorders and foster a soft and lenient attitude on the part of government towards such disorders.
  • By specious argument cause the breakdown of the old moral virtues: honesty, sobriety, continence, faith in the pledged word, ruggedness.
  • Cause the registration of all firearms on some pretext, with the view of confiscating them and leaving the population defenseless." Lenin
At first I thought it was another spoof quotation, like the one from 'Marx' about consumerism and debt, but it appears to have its origins in the 1919 'Communist Strategy for Revolution' in Dusseldorf. Wait a minute though ... it transpires that it was found by Allied Forces in 1946 and it's also attributed to Hitler in 1937 so now I'm no further forward.

Heaven knows it looks plausible enough; the evidence is in front of our own eyes. So, bluff, double-bluff or internet nut-job? Perhaps it just isn't important whether it's an old Allied propaganda trick or not - what's important is what's happening here and now, regardless of its provenance. Because of what we see around us the strategies outlined in the list, spoof or not, are only too believable, and that's the most worrying aspect of it all.

  1. In 1920, Hitler joined the National Socialist German Workers Party known as the Nazis. The Nazis called for all Germans, even those in other countries, to unite into one nation; they called for a strong central government; and they called for the cancellation of the Versailles Treaty. Hitler became leader of the Nazi party and built up membership quickly, mostly because of his powerful speaking ability.

We now have socialist bringing in positive dIscrimination against white Males……………………what’s the difference between that and what Adolf was doing…………..starts that way!!!
