"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

  3. Hi Edgar, I think it's that people hide from uncomfortable truths. I seem to end up repeating the same things time after time since I started this blog in March and sometimes I think there's nothing more to be said. We're in for profound changes and I hope we can all find the spirit and the backbone to resist the changes we don't want and embrace those we do.
Anon - I've no idea, but it looks like it's a question man has asked of man throughout the ages. I'd like to think that this is a pivotal moment - but the way we roll over and ask for our tummies to be tickled by the media; the way we close our ears to what our govts are actually saying, I think we'll still be here asking the same questions, playing the same music, quoting the same poetry 300+yrs from now.
