"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Another Warning From The IMF

Britain has received yet another warning from the IMF that it should reform the NHS & Public Sector pensions to help bring down the national debt.

First, all previous warnings to this govt from the IMF were ignored so I think we can accept that this one will also be ignored so, second, what is the point of the IMF when the govt pays only lip-service to its pronouncements?  Third, where does this leave Cameron's Conservatives and their 'ring-fencing of the NHS budget'?

  1. A long wall and a few rifles. Much cheaper than all those pensions.

  2. Someone needs to do a cost/benefits analysis on it - you'd need special silver bullets for them and that would push up costs.

  3. Ach - they're on the job - selling off assets and services is what its all been about. Don'cha know this is all co-ordinated?

  4. Hi Scunner, yes, as a commenter pointed out earlier but blogging is to disseminate information. Not everyone knows about the links.
