"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Eco-xenophobia

Why is there always some self-righteous muppet with a big mouth and small brain ready to tell us what to think and what to do?  It's looking more and more like a Duvet Day for me after reading this:
Dr Ian Rotherham, Director of the Environmental Change Research Unit at Sheffield Hallam University  "If you start to label it as alien then that is some sort of racism. Eco-xenophobia is the label I would use."

Matthew Frith, Deputy Chief Executive of the London Wildlife Trust:  "The biodiversity in our country is a mix of native and non-native just like the social make-up of this country... Just like curry."
I don't want to see the parakeets culled any more than these two but the language & metaphors they use make me lose the will to live.  Idiots like this need severe pruning.

  1. Pruning's too good for them Howard. I think a hedge trimmer would be far better.
