"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Friday Post

Not really a blogpost, more a collection of articles plus comment and links for those who are interested but haven't had time to catch up.  Wise Up Journal have collated info from:
The Irish Independent:
The Lisbon legal guarantees are a clever EU strategy that “give the appearance” of respecting Irish sovereignty, according to legal advice obtained by a group of lawyers who oppose the treaty.
In a 106-page opinion on the legal status of the Lisbon guarantees, senior counsel and TCD law lecturer Diarmuid Phelan has queried the guarantees secured by the Irish Government.
The Daily Mail:
More on the likelihood of Tony Blair being parachuted in as President.
The Daily Telegraph:
EU intervention in Irish referendum is unlawful.
Breaking News.ie:
Thousands of non-Irish residents sent polling cards.
As WUJ says:  "...you will see a different picture of the true nature of the EU and the Irish authorities compared to the image the mainstream media constantly portrays these people and institutions to be."

  1. The EU breaks its own rules/laws and that of other countries with merry abandon. Such is the dross that lack of accountability delivers.

  2. I really hope the Irish 'No' vote holds up for the 2nd time, Fausty - it's outrageous that Britain has to rely on Ireland, the Czechs and Polish to speak for us. That no politician here was willing to give a free, full, frank debate before it was ratified is disgraceful.

  3. GV, our politicos have been bought (with our money). Everyone has his price.

Full, frank and free debate do not feature for treasonous politicos.

If we want to defeat them, we will have to vot anything but lib/lab/con - assuming that there won't be vote-rigging, of course.
