"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Hannan & Farage On The Daily Politics

I wonder how Hannan would have reacted if Andrew Neil had called him Miliband's phrase of the week: euro-extremist?

  1. As an eighteenyear old I voted to remain in what was described as a Free Trade Europe, now I want to vote whether to remain in a Political Union. What's the problem Dave ?

  2. Hi Banned, it looks like there'll only be two options if Lisbon is fully ratified by all 27: a renegotiation of certain sections (which will need approval of the other 26 & take years) or an in/out referendum. I think we all know what Cameron's preferred option would be. The only thing I can think of at the moment is that when Lisbon is in full force more people will see the far-reaching effect the EU has on daily lives and will swing behind any 'Out' campaign.
