"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Soon it will be illegal to sing that and Kipling will be a prohibited author.

This song is one which I will always associate with the late Princess of Wales - it was played at her wedding as well as her funeral.

    Stirring stuff indeed !

  6. It is NOT too late; the work, however becomes more onerous and difficult with every day that passes under ZaNuLabour and the EUSSR.

We need to be rid of both, and then it may be a possibility in my lifetime - or at least my granchildren's.

  7. Brings a lump to my throat. We've almost lost it.

I hope you'll all be going on Old Holborn's walk to the HoC. At least we can make a stand before we lose even that freedom.

  8. Prefer Jerusalem myself, it has the added value of winding up the Islamists too.
