"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

  1. They are very enjoyable, GV. At one time there might have been some justification for calling it small-minded when poking fun at politicians. But, these days, the narrow-minded, infantile futility belongs to those who try to rationalise the nonsense, and worse, that comes from those goons. Ridicule is appropriate.

  2. You can't beat a bit of ridicule on a Sunday Edgar - and my God do they deserve it.

  4. Your ears don't deceive you - I suppose they shortened the word 'country' Gigits. I bet that's what Cameron thinks of Brown!
