"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Cameron Reaction

Cameron's statement follows the line of thought over at ConHome.  There's little more to be said about this until he makes his full policy statement in the next day or so.  The next stage for the treaty is the formal signing by President Klaus which is expected imminently.  After that, well it's Goodnight Vienna.  The EU will show its true colours and the fightback will begin.

  2. You're not wrong there Spidey. I wonder what he's got in store for us tomorrow - I bet he'll be up all night working out the detail. I hope he's straightforward and it isn't a statement where we're forced to read between the lines.

  3. Whatever he says now will not be enough, will not be believed and too late anyway.
Mr. Cameron has missed the bus.
