"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Sunday Reflection

4 comments:

  1. Another reflection for Sunday; another few moments of tranquility and visual wonder in this mad world and even crazier land under the despots now running it.

    To England, to Freedom!

ps What is the music on this video? It is quite delightful.

  2. I've just posted the original by Carl Orff for you - it's one of my favourite pieces, absolutely beautiful. The photos for 'Wild & Windy' seem to be slides or postcards so don't have the movement that the Moors should have - impressive landscape nevertheless :)

  3. Thank you very much for the information and have a great week-end - or what's left of it at any rate!

Thanks again - a lovely piece of music.

  4. Very nice, even on a Wednesday morning. Reminded me of my hiking days.
