"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Sunday Round-Up

The Good:
EHRC refuse illegal sting on BNP
Injured soldiers snub show-boating Brown
Brown's choice: Party or Country?
Knives out for Bercow
50% are flat-earthers & deniers
Dr David Kelly

The Bad:
NHS & State Pensions targeted for reduction by Treasury
EU allows USA access to UK bank records
France excludes Britain from EU CAP talks
Royal Fleet Auxiliary to be privatised
Largest single source of funding for all CRU's projects is the EU
Crime figures: cuffing, nodding, stitching, skewing, gaming, massaging = fiddling
More immigration scams and cover-ups
Students should pay 2.5% interest on loans + 100 hours community service
Shady funding for Blair
National Service Citizenship for 7+ yr olds
Ticket inspectors to waive the rules for passengers who don't understand ticketing system

The Ugly:

  1. The good thing with your bad section (oxymoron) is that all that will only increase the eurosceptic majority, increase the share of the 'other' parties i.e. not liblabcon and moreover people will hopefully start asking why the fuck have we become damp squib socialists when we only 70 years ago would have spat in the face of these non-people.

All of this is good of course.

  2. I hope so, Spitfire.

Your Sunday roundups are a useful start to the day, GV.

  3. It was a toss-up whether to put them in the 'ugly' section and the cabinet in the'bad section, 13th. Cheeky old France eh!
Thanks Fausty though they're a bit late this week - very sick cat and round the clock nursing. G-d, it never rains but pours.

  4. Well, as always, it was a job well done.
