"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Governments Also Crumble

Thanks to Ollie at the Red Rag
PS Not much is being made on the news that Kraft got a loan to buy Cadbury's from none other than the Royal Bank of Scotland - the 87% state-owned bank.  Nice one RBS - sh@fting British workers with British taxpayers' money.

  1. It's even worse than that if you can see past the establishment Britishness programming...

If RBS is 87% owned by the British taxpayer of which 80% are in fact English taxpayers then RBS is 69.6% owned by the ENGLISH taxpayer.

The lions share of RBS job losses have been from England.

The jobs lost at Cadbury will be lost in England. Kraft are using English taxpayers money to create more unemployment in England!

And why is it still called the Royal Bank of Scotland instead of the "Mainly English taxpayers bank".

  2. Good point, Wyrdtimes. Politically speaking the English don't have a rallying point though, not in the way the Scots do via their Executive (sorry, 'government') and look how long they've been fighting for that. England has been overtaken by the EU and fragmented into 9 regions - we will never have our own government unless we oppose the EU. At heart I'm just a traditional conservative unionist (*ducks*)
