"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Sunday Reflection

  1. Lovely GV and Einaudi too! Thank you.

  2. A beautiful offering, for which many thanks.

What a delightful country England is, truly fit to bear the title 'Our Lady's Dowry'.

Again, thank you for all these oases of beauty in this ugly age.

  3. Hi Mr Witterings and Opsimath - it's a pleasant enough antidote to the ugliness of a week's news but possibly viewed through rose-tinted specs. England and its counties is/was beautiful and worth fighting for. I haven't come across that expression before Opsimath, nice one.

  4. G'mornin my friend!:)...blessings to u this Sunday!
