"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

A Distraction

I can't help it:

It's before 'my time', but I still adore it. Enjoy it while you can.

  1. As a kid I used to watch Fred and Ginger every Sunday afternoon on the telly. Good memories.

  2. Every Saturday was wrestling and every Sunday was a film. As you say, it's all in the past.

  3. Oh yes - now that's the good oil.

  4. Hi James, definitely a 'classic'. Apparently it took ages to shoot because of Ginger's dress - feathers flew everywhere so they had to keep stopping to de-feather Astaire (who, by all accounts, wasn't best pleased).
