"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

  2. GV there is a place called Otterferry in Argyll where the waters are crystal clear, the air is sweet, the nights are calm and the babbling brooks keep your beer at just the correct temperature. I cut peat there many, many moons ago and slept under the stars. Might not be as sunny though ;-)

  3. GV, yes there is, it's just up the road and I enjoy it daily but not for long as they plan to infest it with wind turbines just because "this England does exist somewhere... ..." and they don't like it.

  4. Incoming!!!!!!! it won't last long if the government's plans to pay immigrants to move to Scotland goes ahead.

Lucky Banned. The current govt ministers loathe England and 'Englishness' - they're licking their lips at the encroachment of housing estates on to the green belt and the fragmentation into Regions.
