"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Mini Round-up

I've been struggling with a dropping broadband and a pc on its last legs this morning (I'm a hairs-breadth away from heading to the shops at the w/end) so this is all I've been able to glean from the papers this morning:

The Conservatives:
Time for Mad Nads to go?   She's definitely dotty if her interference in Luton South is anything to go. Here's her voting record. (I see she isn't a smoker and doesn't seem to care about transparency in Parliament).
Tory Tim talks tough on teenagers - underage pregnancies should be prosecuted. It actually is illegal but not enforced so I don't see what the problem is with his proposal - children are a blessing and a responsibility, not a rite of passage.
Hague knew he didn't know: Hague's still in murky water over Ashcroft - Labour, the LibDems and the msm won't let it die.
This is from yesterday: Cameron speaks to Operation Black Vote. These policies are too divisive: Operations for this, Associations for that, Targetting the other. Can't they see how fragmented people are becoming? I think they do; they call us 'Communities'.

Labour:
Yo Bush What Tony said to G Dubya. Sir Christopher Meyer: "Why in God's name has he said that again? He's handed Bush carte blanche."
Told you so: ID cards for access to services. Like it or not, here we come.
"Indians only" A future fair for all? One-sided racism is ongoing and beyond a joke - it isn't even recognised by tptb because they're so far removed from its effects. Polish speakers first, Indians only now - what next?
Chris Bryant, Minister for Europe, guarantees his place in the history books as he makes his wedding vows in the Members' Dining Room.
Tea with Gordon Up close, personal and intimate. Protect & survive!

Here's the video again for those who missed it first time round:

Germany/France/Greece & North Korea:
Merkel stands her corner against the IMF and France.
Greece calls the eurozone's bluff and threatens to call in the IMF.
North Korea executes Finance Minister for being "a son of a bourgeois conspiring to infiltrate the ranks of revolutionaries to destroy the national economy".

Nothing from the Times because I still can't access their pages and I don't have the time to persevere with trawling through for info on the smaller parties. I'll be back later once I've sorted out the mess.
