"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Question Time: Live Blog

Biased-BBC is hosting the usual live chat on this evening's Question Time.  To mark International Women's Day (which, btw, explains Jack Straw's yellow flower at yesterday's PMQs) the audience will be women-only - oh boy!  The panel will comprise Monty Don, a gardener; Caroline Flint, Labour; Justine Greening, Conservative; and Jo Swinson, LibDem, plus one more as yet un-named.  Dewsbury is a very vibrant part of England so there'll probably be lots of whingeing about Afghanistan, Yuman Rights and discrimination.  The action begins at half past ten, UK time.

  1. Not for me, I'm watching Newsnight (or should that be Newsround?). Tired of that farcical programme. I will be watching This Week after, that's usually amusing.

  2. Dumped my TV a year and a half ago and dumped the radio last week, even a freshly dug grave isn't deep enough for BBC standards these days.

  3. I can't watch the BBC anymore per se. It simply infuriates me.

  4. Question Time simply isn't feasible anymore as a political programme. It's just Socialist morality played out to lecture the masses, whilst New Labour M.P.s cock a snoop at those very people that they aim to address.

  5. So that's a big all-round thumbs-down for the BBC then? You won't be surprised to know that I agree. The carefully vetted audience, which they insist is 'randomized', spends more time clapping questions, Dimbleby has become an unsufferable bore and Kelvin Mackenzie was in full righteous tabloid rant. As Anon says, This Week is a better programme.

  6. It is very interesting for me to read the blog. Thanx for it. I like such topics and anything connected to them. I would like to read more on that blog soon.
