"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Roll-Over Or Fight Time...

... is coming soon to a voting booth or street near you if Brown's speech to the Progressive Governance Conference is anything to go by. We are finished. They came in by stealth, took advantage of our phlegmatic nature ("mustn't grumble") and robbed us blind. The clip comes, funnily enough, from the BBC:

They're so sure of themselves it frightens me - they don't listen; they treat us like tax-fodder and worse than a parent would treat a child. They fuck with our laws, they fuck with our sovereignty, they fuck with our heads. Brown says he wants to look back on today from a hundred years hence and read about his place in history - I'd quite like that too.

This video is the epitome of the past thirteen years and the more I hear it, the more encouraged I am that Brown's version of history won't prevail:

Fuck You Gordon Brown
Jelly Babies galore to GrumpyOldTwat
A graphics update wouldn't go amiss though, Gotty :-)

UPDATE: Watch out for the language and images ;-)

  1. Can't watch the vids GV. Not till I get home on Sunday night.

Just wanted to reiterate the "Fuck you" sentiment. I said it (a lot) on my blog a wee while back and it has generated something of a following.

We are not alone in wishing that G. Brown was long ago and far away.

It will happen. It has to.

    CR.

  2. Perhaps Brown's greatest asset is that you'd rather swallow razor blades, than sit through a ten minute monologue of him droning on with his never ending tractor stats. If nobody can listen to the odious man, then how would we know what he's proposing?

Do New Labour actually know what they're doing here after all?

  3. Someone, somewhere in a land far away used to say: It's an oldie but a goodie. As for the rest of it - who knows, CR? Some voters will believe it and some will vote for smaller Parties. I feel sorry for you, doing deals with Libya, but I guess that's capitalism - good luck to you and if they show the soles of their feet or throw shoes at you, run:-)

I think it's only 'people like us' - ie politico-nerds - who've braced ourselves to listen to him D&C. If I were a man I'd be able to call him all the names under the sun and no-one would blink. Let's just say he's not the only lying twonk and the more you look into the roots of it, the more years you travel back. The real question is: how do we get rid of them?

  4. The major parties set the agenda - an agreed narrative that differs only in minute details. Any party that disagrees with the stitch up and presents a contrary vision is vilified, denigrated, and set upon by the state.

I agree with the second vid - fuck them.

  5. Sad to tell, because I never thought it would come to this, but I'm with you Scunnert. How to tell the children who disbelieve, how to tell those whose lives are running nicely now? Aye, there's the rub!

  6. And still he pushes ahead, (as does Obama), with the same old climate change bollocks, GV, they are not going to take no for an answer because they have no plan B to oppress us and control us without the sheeple noticing what they're up to.

  7. Hi Spidey, unfortunately they probably do have a Plan B to suppress dissent - it's unveiling all around us for those with eyes to see. Not everyone has the time to look deeper and that's why I despair. OH says its 60million against 646 - but it isn't - it's a handful against the powerful.
