"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Brown: On The Fiddle Again

This man wouldn't recognise truth or integrity if it walked up to him and slapped him in the face with a wet fish.  He really is the lowest, most whiney, self-excusing, self-serving piece of detritus that Labour has washed up.

Brown has now been called out twice for lying about immigration figures by the independent statistics watchdog.
"Mr Brown has also been forced to admit that Labour has not banned low-skilled chefs and care assistants entering the country from abroad, as he has repeatedly claimed during the campaign.
"The revelations came as a new study revealed that more than a one million extra immigrants are set to enter Britain over the coming five years."
"The intervention from Sir Michael came after the Prime Minister used unpublished Home Office figures to suggest that the points-based immigration system had cut the number of migrants from outside the EU.

"Mr Brown boasted that the number of IT workers and engineers coming to Britain had been cut by 20,000 following the introduction of the scheme. But he failed to mention accompanying figures showing the number of foreign students rose by 65,000 during the same period.

"In a further blow to Mr Brown’s credibility on the issue he was forced to admit he had exaggerated the scope of the points-based system, which is designed to ensure that only migrants with skills needed by the British economy are allowed to enter from outside the EU."

  1. It doesn't seem to matter. The bloody polls are telling everybody to vote for a stalemate. Probably leaving Snotty and gang firmly in charge. Unbelievable.

  2. I think that when Cameron and (Clegg) get into number 10 on Friday they should start with a EU referendum, right away, as soon as possible. Let's stop the debate... in or out, no other choice. If we stay in we take the consequences; it we leave likewise. This is Cleggie's part of the dealk.

Next they we should stop immigration. All of it. Not another single person for any reason whatsoever. We need to manage or not manage on our own people, god help us.

It will concentrate the minds of the educationalists wonderfully well if they MUST produce people who can do things, rather that thousands of people with degrees in media studies, nose picking and being rude to customers on the phone.

The the lazy useless idiots that sit on their fat backsides collecting the dole and complaining that the Poles or the Pakis or some other lot took their jobs and their woman and their pubs and you can't get into the church for them, won't be able to use that as an excuse for sitting there doing squat and being so fat and ugly so their partners leave them..

    Sorted.

    Next problem....? :¬)

  3. I watched Sky news earlier, OR, and the anchor's delight in reporting that the polls had narrowed again and a hung parliament was back on the cards was so obvious. The media are definitely talking it up. I'm bored with all these rolling polls - they don't achieve anything except give the media something to hyperventilate about.

I'll vote for you Tris! Education is the key to it all. Cameron's come out and said that if they win a minority government they won't do a deal with the LibDems, which is something to be thankful for. They're too far apart ideologically.

  4. GV just come back from wandering through OR's shop and I must agree with his reserve. The past 13 years are just the first pustule to be lanced. The entire cankerous cadavre is being hidden from view. Zombie politics ahead!

  5. The self-important media (I'm thinking of people like Marrs, Robinson et al) like to call themselves 'opinion-formers' Incoming. A better description might be manipulators who themselves have been manipulated by govt diktat - 'toe the line or don't get the story'. They've let down the public, big-time, in their non-reporting and avoidance of truth.
