"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

UK Aid To Pakistan Helps Taliban

UK aid to Pakistan is roughly £120 million a year.  We plan to give a total of £665 million for the five years between 2009-13.  Why, when we have headlines like the one below?

Pakistan intelligence agency controls Taliban and plans attacks

It has to be said that the report is dismissed as 'rubbish' by unnamed Pakistan military officials but, even so ... ...   It really is time to show some spirit & backbone and either toughen up in diplomatic talks or get out militarily - preferably both..

  1. Get rid of the Overseas aid budget, charity begins at home.

    Simple.

  2. It should, QM, but instead they're increasing it which is madness especially when they don't know where it ends up. Imagine how far that £665m would go towards cutting the national debt.
