"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

So, What Now?

A photo of Mutla Ridge, which doesn't do it justice.

Perhaps English Law isn't so bad after all. A Saudi Prince is on trial at the Old Bailey.

There's an Arabic saying: "Boys for pleasure and girls for babies."

Kuwait was the first country where I saw policemen patrolling in twos, hand in hand. They even ran away from an Iraqi skirmish in the early seventies on Mutla Ridge. Whatever you say about our Old Bill, you can't accuse them of running away, hand in hand or otherwise.

Pics of Kuwait (not mine, but one day I'll post them - except for the ones that were confiscated at the time).

  1. The Prince denied being homosexual

"2009 Spartacus International Gay Guide in his hotel room. " bit of a giveway really.

    w/v 'nonco' LOL

  2. Hi Banned, wordver seems to have a 6th sense sometimes :-) I'll be interested to see what sentence this member of the Saudi elite gets from a British court for murder and perverting the course of justice.
