"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

It's Always Tomorrow...

... and people fall for it every time.

Vote for us and we'll lower taxation...tomorrow.
Vote for us and we'll roll back the state ...tomorrow.
Vote for us and the sky will be blue...tomorrow.

In the world of politics and governance tomorrow never comes: it's always stuck in the pipeline; still on the drawing board; sitting in committee; being scrutinised by focus groups, or undergoing risk assessment.

It's time to stop being so apathetic and cut off their money supply because they're taking us for fools.

  1. An excellent point, GV and spot on. However there is an exception, The EU. Their tomorrows are with them and very rich they are.

  2. I know what you mean, OR, but look on the bright side - their day will come, not today or tomorrow but it will come - they'll pay eventually for their thievery.
