"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

  1. I *was* going to the '79 concert at Knebworth.

My bike, excited by the news, suffered a seizure.

Missing that concert was my second greatest regret, after buying that effing bike.

  2. :-) Thanks, Conan. I bet you've chosen your bikes more carefully since then.
PS whatever you do, don't google 'coughing bike'.

  3. Heh.

A "power commander" sounds pretty cool though...

  4. Never was a fan of Led Zep but this is acceptable, alongside Stairway, natch.

  5. I could do with a power commander this morning - no milk for tea, no pot for coffee, no chocolate. I might wake up at around midday.

Yes, one of their quieter ones, Banned. They're so distinctive and you have to hand it to them for longevity - even youngsters today like them.

  6. Boy "Your're probably one of those (grown ups) who pretend to like Led Zep just to look cool and get down with us kidz
So tell me the names of Led Zeps first five albums if you are such fan lady"

(Further unrelated conversation ensues before final scene of the act)

Lady "Oh btw the first four albums were Led Zep 1,2,3 and4; the fifth album is untitled but is generally referred to as Led Zep 5, see you in the morning kid"

    Name that film.

  7. :-) I don't know - but it's definitely not 'To Have & Have Not' which is more my style.
