More Trouble In Greece/Bahrain

Violence has flared again in Greece during a 24-hr general strike and protests against the imposed austerity measures.
The rallies held as part of the country's general strike were the target of tear gas, flash grenade (intended for use by anti-terrorist units in enclosed spaces) and the use of motorcycle units who were used to chase and intimidate demonstrators.
Some days it seems as if we're the only country in the world not out on the streets.*

* That reminds me - it's being reported that the SAS will be deployed some time soon on the streets of London.

  3. Only the stupidest spaghetti futurama schlock movies depict bad guys on motorbikes terrorising nice folks. Just what is a 'biker' supposed to be able to do other than just stay upright?
    Shoot someone with a magnum?

  4. I think the Greek idea is kamikaze police bikers - ride your bike into the crowd and take a few with you. Can't see it catching on with the SAS when they move to London.
