"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

PMQs: Summary + Videos

Tributes were paid to Private Martin Bell, 2nd Btn Parachute Regiment who lost his life in an ied explosion in Afghanistan.

Egypt dominated Miliband's questioning today.   Bringing home Britons trapped in Egypt.  Jobs, freedom of speech and right to say who governs them.  He later moved on to a timetable for withdrawal from Afghanistan and the progress of 'the mission'.  Cameron  spoke of freedom, democracy and rights 'the world over' and the 'incredibly moving' pictures coming out of Egypt.

All seemed to be sweetness and light as usual with only one or two sparks from backbenchers.  Cameron was Mr Reasonable himself which, given Miliband's questions centred on Afghanistan and Egypt, is probably understandable.

I had a torrid time with buffering and keeping a connection so I'm afraid MPs and questions aren't complete this week - it's sod's law that it hasn't happened since PMQs ended.
