"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

WHEDFU Part 3

Nearly there.

The EU gave 93bn euros to Albania last year, which, amongst other things, financed training for customs & border police and the implementation of the Albanian Integrated Border Management Strategy and its Action Plan.  On top of that, the EU will give 5.4m euros for 12 border crossings.

Britain's place in Europe:  In less than twenty years time Britain will have more Muslims than Kuwait.   "European Islamic leaders, many of whom are openly hostile to Western values and laws, are also establishing Muslim lobbies to pressure European governments into synchronizing secular Western laws with Muslim religious beliefs. These initiatives are usually couched as the peaceful advocacy of minority rights, but the end result is that European societies have to adapt to Islam rather than the other way around."  And don't we know it.

The EU begins 'infringment procedures' against the UK over bilateral air service agreements made with Russia.  "The Commission said it is concerned that the agreements may hinder competition between European airlines and provide the basis for Siberian overflight charges that may be illegal under EU anti-trust rules."  When will Cameron & Co get the message that we cannot make bilateral agreements with any country without the prior permission of the EU?

The EU and the US warn against early elections in Egypt citing ensuing chaos.

Bruno Waterfield says NATO is ineffective and should be disbanded"Clearly, for Rasmussen, using live ammunition on calm and rational Danes would be deeply shocking, unthinkable in fact. Gunning down turbulent and irrational Albanians is another matter altogether, much more understandable."

The coalition can opt out of EU regulations & directives when it wants to, as it shows by its reluctance to adopt  sex-trafficking safeguards.

EU/IMF loan for Romania.  The second since 2009 and being touted as 'a precautionary measure'.  They say the money won't be taken but will be there 'if needed'.

Open Europe has the latest on the international fall-out from Friday's summit:  “As a Spaniard, I don’t like to be told what I have to do by outsiders”.

Afghan MP, Dr Golalei Nur , tells Brussels that aid is supporting "the wrong Afghans".  Another Afghan representative told the meeting that security was worsening and asked fhat NATO forces stay beyond 2014.

From today all new cars and small vans built in Europe will have automatic daytime lights.

Nigel Farage offers a £50 reward for the best definition of Libertarianism .  Staff only and it must be in English.

You might like this, but probably not and it's 20 minutes of pure EU tedium anyway.  You only need to hear the first five minutes to get the gist of this EU cockwaffle - Immigration into the EU is down.

ALDE leader Guy Verhofstat, makes an impassioned plea for centralised control of the economy and a NWO.

And that's it. I've received my invitation to watch Iranium: The Movie so I'll be doing that this evening as well as checking on Geert Wilders who paraphrases Sir Edward Grey to say, "The lights are going out all over Europe."

"The lamps are going out all over Europe. We shall not see them lit again in our time"
Sir Edward Grey, British Foreign Secretary, 1914
