"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

The LR Backlash

One thing you can always rely on is disinformation and half-truths from the msm. The story about the Lawful Rebellion protesters in Birkenhead yesterday is finally being reported by one newspaper - the Daily Mail. There were also a few paragraphs yesterday evening at BBC Online and, to give them credit, they did at least mention Section 61 Magna Carta (the right to enter into Lawful Rebellion if we feel we are being unjustly governed). There's nothing at all in the Telegraph, the Guardian or the Independent.

Here are some of the words used to describe the event: intruders; activists; storm; mob; near-riot; anti-establishment. Oh, and the DM even managed to mention UKIP. They also took a photo of two burly & balding men, giving the impression that the protesters were skinheads, but the elderly lady who held up the A4 notice saying "When injustice beomes law, rebellion becomes duty," is nowhere to be seen.

It's obviously too much to hope that there would be real, intelligent debate in the press about the underlying issues of FMoTL - what it isn't about is a workshy scrounger trying to evade Council Tax.

If you don't know already and want to know more, look under Essential Links in the sidebar for British Constitution Group, Lawful Rebellion, and TPUC.

PS - And not a mask in sight :-)

UPDATE:  That didn't last long!  The article was posted at about 3pm and had roughly 145 comments - the second highest of the day - yet it's disappeared from their online front page, completely.   Four and a half hours exposure is all it had.  Someone doesn't want us to know something.

  1. The MSM is bought and paid for, sadly. only a real change in attitude will do any good. The slow dismantlement of our police forces and military are signs of the end game for EU dominance.

  2. It is, OR. It's only when you start to look into things for yourself that you see the discrepancy between what's reported and the facts. They twist words and they lie by omission.

  3. T'was mention briefly in the print edition of the DT, GV but briefly would be an overstatement!

  4. Thanks for that, Mr W - I hope it gathers momentum so the press will be unable to ignore it. 5/600 British Freemen & supporters turning out is worth more than a tucked-away single sentence paragraph.

I wonder though - if the press had to clear the wikileaks cables with the govt before printing, who's to say how many other instances there are - Freemen on the Land for example?

  5. This modest uprising certainly has the feeling of the thin end of the wedge. Alas, it is exceptionally modest.

  6. It's growing Nickie and that's the main thing. From a handful to a couple of dozen to 5-600 isn't bad at all. We have to stay hopeful and active.
