"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Bandwagon Cameron

It's becoming a Cameron trait to talk first, think later. If he believes that universities don't admit 'enough' black and ethnic minority students the answer is to raise standards across all state primary and secondary schools, not dumb down entrance requirements to unis. If I can see that then any fool and his mother can also see it - but not Cameron who didn't look beyond a glib soundbite.

The man's fast becoming am embarrassing liability at home and abroad. He had the potential to turn this country round after Labour's onslaught but instead he's found it easier to to renege on Conservative policies and undermine his own Ministers. After throwing away the GE with a lacklustre and muddled campaign he's now squandering the little political capital he had left.

Tris at Munguin's Republic has saved me a job this morning; he says it all.

  1. I know an American conservative blogger that was big on old Cam before the election. I tried to tell her that he was a lot like Obama, sadly, time is proving me right.

  2. A lot of us tried to warn you about Obama being a Blair clone too, Trestin - it seems they've all caught the same disease.
