"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Nigel Lawson Enters The Fray

Unfortunately, I don't subscribe to The Times so I don't know what he suggests as a replacement but reading this teaser was better than the usual start to my day.

  1. The Press Association has a little more on the subject Lord Lawson: Tear up Lisbon treaty

Not sure what good it will do. He'll be ignored.

  2. Thanks Sue. That's the same as the Daily Express story about it but it doesn't give much more info - looks like I'll have to subscribe at last. I don't care that it won't go anywhere, I'm just glad it's in the news more often these days.
