"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Germany Calling

Germany has many of the problems that we do in getting people to wake up to what's happening. Karl Schachtschneider ('bless you') is Professor Emeritus in public and civil law at Nuremberg University. In this video he explains about the death penalty, military rearmament and debunks the EU's claim that it is responsible for, and promotes, peace in Europe. He warns his audience that, on the introduction of the Lisbon Treaty, the death penalty will be applicable in the event of riots, rebellion or facing the threat of war.

We're not alone but we need a pan-European movement to oppose the EU, perhaps we can then be called "Sour Little Europeans" by Cameron et al.

Here is Schachtschneider's wikipedia page and here is his website, if your German is up to it.

  1. Sour

How is Germany at war "with" Afghanistan?

  2. In the same we are, Banned, except our politicians don't call it 'war' and the UK does more than its fair share of the fighting.

  3. Bravo that man! Three cheers for Good Germans! ;)

  4. That's all too complicated for me, but Germany does have a thing for long words. Such as this beauty Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz that won a recent long German word of the year award.

And doing a google on the longest German word will get lots of sites to peruse if you desire to do such a thing.

What do you think of war in Europe though? I'm seeing a fair bit of talk about it on military oriented sites from just an observational predictive point of view.

    Personally, I think it's likely.

One of the interesting aspects about Europe and war is that Europe has relied quite heavily on the USA for their defense, and spent the [defense] money on socialist programs instead. With at least current administration keen on cutting the American Military capability to levels that would make bill clinton have extreme pleasure, Europe might have to contemplate building their defenses while dealing with current economic events. Interesting to say the least.
